Due to continued growth and market dominance, a world leading medical solutions company are expanding their talented and high performing team. Our client are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. They manufacture and sell wound care and single-use surgical products on an international scale.


  • Participate in internal Early Development projects and/or x-functional New Development Projects, leading the work of electronics and sensor development
  • Research, identification, and assessing sensor technologies suitable for integration into our medical device products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety and meeting the performance needs for the thought application
  • Proactively assess technologies to fuel pipeline
  • Lead the evaluation of prototype sensor builds, both on component level and embedded into products, including design, construction, and testing, to validate performance and functionality against project requirements.
  • Create and execute on comprehensive test plans that encompass various sensor performance parameters and validation procedures to support product development.
  • Define and specify needs for new test methods
  • Analyse test results and data to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and make informed recommendations for enhancing sensor performance.
  • Ensure that sensor development processes and documentation adhere to relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of sensor development activities, test results, and design specifications.

About You

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, engineering, chemistry, life science or equivalent.
  • 10 years’ experience within product development & 5 years’ experience working within sensor development, integration, and evaluation, preferably in the medical technology or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of various sensor types and their applications.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to medical device development, in specific towards embedded systems and electrical equipment (FDA, MDR, ISO, etc.)
  • Great communication skills, solution oriented, able to compromise and value consensus
