EHS Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest Chemical and Engineering companies in the world. They are an industry leader with state of the art facilities, this is at one of their precision manufacturing sites based in Germany. Our client are seeking someone experienced with EHS and has worked with hazardous goods and to support with planning, strategy, vision for the site.

• Organization of operational occupational safety and hazardous substances management
• Ensuring full compliance with European and national environmental, health and safety regulations
• Preparation of risk assessments, operating instructions and training materials
• Maintenance of the hazardous substances register and monitoring of the storage of hazardous substances
• Contact person for hazardous goods and the disposal of hazardous waste
• Supporting the introduction of new chemical and product regulations
• Implementation of measures to achieve regional and global EHS goals
• Supporting our Irish branch in EHS issues

• Completed studies in chemistry or engineering - ideally with a focus on environment/occupational safety or comparable qualifications
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the chemical industry as well as experience in the EHS sector
• Expertise in hazardous substances and legal requirements (Chemicals Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, European and national guidelines, REACH, GHS/CLP, BG regulations and rules, WEEE)
• Experience in a global environment is an advantage
• Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
• Analytical approach and problem-solving skills
