Responsibilities

As an integral member of our client's multidisciplinary team, you'll employ your expertise in occupational therapy to foster improved outcomes for students with autism, learning disabilities, and other special educational needs. Your role will include:

  • Developing and implementing tailored individual and group therapy programs.
  • Ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions across various support tiers.
  • Engaging in proactive service design and improvement to enhance the overall therapy offer.
  • Supporting the educational and developmental journey of students, particularly through the critical 'preparing for adulthood' phase.
  • Contributing your skills to a culture of continuous learning and development among peers, educators, and families.

About You

  • A robust foundation in occupational therapy methods, particularly for children and young people with special educational needs.
  • A commitment to high-quality, comprehensive support across universal, targeted, and intensive intervention tiers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • A flexible, problem-solving approach, capable of adapting to the dynamic needs of students and the educational environment.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council as a practicing Occupational Therapist.
  • A dedication to personal and professional development, aligned with the latest advancements in the field.
