Want to progress your Chemical Regulatory career to a role that will have a crucial role for tomorrow’s industry?

We are working with a well-known Trade Association in the Metals and Chemical sector to help them find their Regulatory and Sustainability expert to join their small and experienced team. This position is designed to help bolster the scientific and technical support of the association, specifically in the realm of Chemicals Management (particularly in REACH and CLP compliance) for precious metals and rhenium substances.

This role will play a pivotal part in advancing the association's initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability and advocating for the industry and its members at the European level.

We welcome applications from experienced profiles that have a strong understanding of inorganic chemistry topics, and with a prior experience of approx. 5 years in the regulatory field, whether in the trade association, distribution, manufacturing or consultancy arena.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on REACH and CLP compliance, overseeing the maintenance of REACH dossiers and other regulatory activities.
  • Facilitate scientific and technical support for members and specialist networks.
  • Manage external partners, such as consultants or research organizations.
  • Foster effective communication with stakeholders, including authorities and industry members.
  • Contribute to the development of scientific rationales and position papers on regulatory affairs.
  • Stay abreast of relevant EU legislations related to Chemicals Management.
  • Address sustainability concerns within the metals industry as needed.

About You

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific field
  • 5 years of experience in a regulatory setting related to the chemical’s industry

(Please note) – We will consider lesser experience if specifically in the metals industry

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex subjects in simple terms.
  • Proficiency in REACH and CLP regulations.
  • Interest in sustainability aspects like LCA or environmental impact
  • English Fluency, Additional languages are considered advantageous
  • Flexible mindset, able to multitask and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the EU.
